What
are the advantages of the PC3+1EMC?
Standard
power cables generally have two serious disadvantages: They
have too small a diameter [current!] and they are ideal antennas
for RF frequency distortions.
Based upon EMC/EMI shielding technology, the power cable is
resistant against both radiated RF and conducted distortions.

power cables are especially built for digital and power components,
but they exhibit their outstanding qualities of noise suppression
also in other application areas. Unlike standard mains cables

Peak
Power
Among
other things, the PC3+1 is superior to standard power cables
due to its structure: In comparison to usual power cables the
PC3+1 features a diameter of 4x1.5mm2. This ensures a low impedance
and low loss coupling to handle highest current, which is an
essential precondition if peak power is to be released without
loss.
Screening
and filtering
To
protect against external electromagnetic fields all all leads
are covered by a massive foiled screen which helps to decouple
distortions, for example coupling effects because of mains
leads in parallel. An additional 1.5mm drain wire conducts
low and high frequency distortions down to earth.
Local
antidistortions elements, networks and filters makes mains
leads high impedance and open doors for distortions into power
supplies. This is contrary to the efforts of designers of quality
products aiming for a clean and well controlled results in
sonic reproduction. Powerfilters are often the reason for a »weak« , uncontrolled bass end and loss of dynamic.
RF
Distortions
The
design and the structure of the cicable PC3+1 EMC mains cable
makes antidistortion networks obsolete. Symmetrical, highfrequent
distortions, caused and feedback by other equipments into the
mains network are protected by a high protective ferritescreen
around each lead. RF frequencies will be absorbed due to the
magnetic and dielectric losses of the ferrite screen. The whole
cables work like a »soft« lowpassfilter. The damping
relates to the length of the cable and reaches about 30dB @
300 MHz.

The quantity of different types of distortions in a system
[for an
overview click here] make it impossible to solve
them with just a single solution. Filter networks are not always
a suitable solution, because they are of high impedance caused
by their design. Due to that they also makes the devices sensitive
to distortions rather than to protect them. The result is
an unbalanced improvement of the system, even more distortions
in some parts of the system which wasn't the intention of the
designer.
If you like to have a fully and total suppression of all mains
distortions there is only one
solution: an autarc power source with very low distortions

Coupling
We
would like to give you a hint: If devices are connected to
the mains by cables of different brands and constructions coupling
could be the result. More simple: distortions tend to go the
easiest way.If they are suppressed by one cable they can enter
the system via another one. We recommend therefore to always
use the same cable: of the same construction and brand for
all devices, to create the same conditions for all components.
Conclusion
The
cicable PC3+1 EMC mains cable is an important solution to improve
any audio system. The result is a harmonic and clean sound
reproduction even of fine details and improves the whole systems

soft lowpass filtering without filter or power losses ensures
